Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Workers, Night Senior Care Workers, and Care Staff to join our team at Eboracum House Care Home.

In these roles, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents in a warm, safe, and respectful environment. Successful candidates will play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing, comfort, dignity, and independence of our residents.

Previous experience in a care setting is desirable. For Senior Care Worker positions, experience in supervising or leading a team is highly advantageous. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills who can work both independently and as part of a team. These are paid positions, ideal for those who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Duties

Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, respecting each resident's dignity, preferences, and independence.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, mobility, eating and drinking, and medication administration or support (where applicable).
Supervise and support junior staff members, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment (Senior Care Worker roles).
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to the appropriate senior member of staff.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records using both electronic and paper-based systems.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming care environment at all times.
Provide reassurance, companionship, and emotional support to residents during both day and night shifts, as required.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a care home or adult social care setting is preferred.
Supervisory or leadership experience is desirable for Senior Care Worker positions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop, follow, and update individual care plans.
Competent in using IT systems for care documentation and record-keeping.
A full UK driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community outings or appointments.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant health and safety legislation.
Compassion, patience, reliability, good organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding care.
