The Opportunity
In the role of Adult Tutor - Catering courses for learners with Learning Disabilities , here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
Planning and delivering practical catering courses for adults with learning disabilities in our working café environment.
Providing inclusive, engaging teaching and learning which enables learners to develop catering skills, achieve their individual learning aims, build confidence and progress into employment or take the next steps in their chosen career path.
This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference by supporting people with learning disabilities to build confidence, independence, and skills for life.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
Innovative Teaching Approach: Bring fresh ideas to the table, constantly exploring creative and effective teaching methods to engage and inspire our learners
Learner-Centric Teaching Style: Put our learners at the heart of everything you do, tailoring your teaching to accommodate various learning styles and needs
Empathetic Mentoring Skills: Understand the challenges this group of learners face, and support them with empathy and patience every step of the way.
Experience delivering courses to adults with learning disabilities
Applicants must have: a teaching qualification at level 4 or above
