Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food, leadership, and hospitality to showcase their culinary expertise in a fast-paced environment. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of meals.
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices.
Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health regulations.
Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with demonstrated culinary skills.
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Strong knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and presentation standards.
Excellent leadership qualities combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Sound understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Experience in menu development, food costing, and inventory control is desirable.
Previous restaurant experience is preferred, along with serving experience in hospitality environments.
