Full job description

Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in Weymouth. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring that our guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals under the guidance of senior chefs.
Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow health and safety regulations, including food hygiene practices.
Support the team in managing stock levels and minimising waste.
Participate in menu planning and development as required.
Contribute to a positive team environment and assist in training new staff.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a Commis Chef or similar role.
Basic culinary qualifications or relevant training in food preparation.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for food and a desire to learn and develop culinary skills.
