Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality environment, providing outstanding guest services and supporting the smooth operation of the hotel. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who are organised, personable, and possess a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
Process payments securely and issue receipts or invoices as required
Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area at all times
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure resolution
Keep accurate records of guest details and preferences in the booking system
Support administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments

Requirements

Proven experience in hotel reception or customer service roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Friendly, approachable manner with a professional demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
Knowledge of hotel management software or reservation systems is advantageous
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if necessary
A genuine interest in hospitality and guest services
