Oakview Medical Practice is a fast paced friendly GP Practice based in Vale Centre for Health in Alexandria

Hours

Part Time 25 hours AM Shift 08.00 - 13.00 - PM Shift 13.00 - 1800 alternative weeks.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and professional part time medical receptionist to join our passionate and friendly reception team. As the first point of contact for the Practice, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our patients and visitors.

The Applicant:

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

Applicants must be patient focused individuals who can demonstrate an aptitude for multi-tasking in a high pressure, emotionally charged environment. The successful candidate will possess previous patient/customer care experience and will need to be confident and able to interact with our patients providing a consistently high level of service and confidentiality.

Duties:

· Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.

· Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.

· Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system.

· Schedule appointments.

Requirements:

· Must be proficient in computer skills with experience in EMIS and DOCMAN preferred, but not essential as full training will be given.

· Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred

· Excellent phone etiquette with strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
