Full job description

The mission of Company Bakery has always been simple: to create exceptional sourdough and pastries using traditional techniques, the finest ingredients, and the most sustainable methods possible.

Founded in Edinburgh in 2017 by four friends from the food and drink industry, the ethos of Company Bakery has always been centred on quality: in our products, in our people, in our relationships, and in everything we do.

Eight years on, we serve Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Glasgow seven days a week, supplying hundreds of cafes, restaurants, caterers, shops and homes, in addition to having our very own café in Musselburgh.

The Role

We're looking for a dedicated Accounts Support Assistant to join our team. You'll be at the heart of our accounts function, keeping invoicing, credit control and supplier payments running smoothly, and working closely with our internal team and our accountants. You'll also be the accounts point of contact for our customers and suppliers, so a genuine understanding of our brand and industry - along with professionalism, a willingness to help, and firmness where needed - is essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

Raising weekly invoices in Xero for around 400 customers, and reconciling daily
Preparing invoices using data from multiple procurement site platforms (experience helpful but not essential)
Setting up customers on direct debit and daily management of that
Credit control and debt collection
Dealing with customer account queries
Preparing weekly pay runs for our suppliers
Dealing with supplier account queries
Managing our accounts email inbox
Report pulling
Supporting with payroll

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in an accounts, bookkeeping or credit control role
Confidence using Xero (or similar accounting software)
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliation
Strong communication skills, with the ability to be warm and helpful while holding firm when needed
Comfortable working across multiple sites
A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for being part of a close-knit team
