Chef - Smoke BBQ Ltd (Restaurant & Outdoor Catering)

Location: Carryduff, Co. Down

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Join one of the leading BBQ teams in Northern Ireland.

Smoke BBQ Ltd is an award-winning Texas-style smokehouse based in Carryduff. Alongside our busy restaurant, we deliver high-quality catering at weddings, corporate events, festivals, private functions and large-scale public events throughout Ireland, the UK and, on occasion, the USA.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking chef who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing great food and wants to be part of a close-knit team that genuinely loves what we do.

No two weeks are the same. One day you could be preparing briskets and ribs in our restaurant, the next serving hundreds of guests from one of our custom-built catering units at a festival or wedding.

The Role

Your duties will include:

Preparing and cooking food to Smoke BBQ's high standards
Working across all sections of the kitchen
Assisting with low and slow BBQ cooking, smokers and live fire cooking (training provided)
Food preparation for restaurant and outdoor catering events
Loading and preparing catering vehicles and equipment
Working at weddings, festivals, corporate events and private functions
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
Assisting with stock control and deliveries
Working efficiently under pressure during busy service
Supporting teammates wherever required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous chef or professional kitchen experience
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Can work well under pressure
Is reliable and punctual
Enjoys working as part of a team
Is flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends
Takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food
Is happy to travel for catering events when required

A full UK driving licence would be a significant advantage but is not essential.
