Business Support Officer

Location: Gravesend, Kent (Office-based)

Salary: £33,400 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Contract: Permanent

About Us

Damen Arena Ltd is a growing UK e-commerce business trading under the Buyers Arena brand. We specialise in sourcing and selling a wide range of consumer products through leading online marketplaces, including Amazon UK and eBay UK. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a proactive and organised Business Support Officer to help strengthen our operational processes and support our continued growth.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Support Officer will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. The successful candidate will coordinate operational activities, monitor business processes, maintain compliance records, prepare management information and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving business operations, analysing information and working across multiple business functions within a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily business operations to ensure activities are completed efficiently.
Monitor operational workflows and assist with planning and prioritising business activities.
Prepare weekly and monthly operational and management reports.
Analyse routine business information and provide accurate management summaries.
Maintain accurate business records, databases and operational documentation.
Assist with business planning, operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor compliance with company policies and internal procedures.
Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation required for audits and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate communication with suppliers, logistics providers and external service partners.
Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Assist in maintaining inventory records and operational tracking systems.
Support implementation of new business systems and operational procedures.
Identify operational risks and escalate issues where necessary.
Carry out other business support activities consistent with the responsibilities of the role.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Essential

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Management or a related discipline.
At least two years' experience in a business support, operations, administration or business coordination role.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small business environment.

Desirable

Experience supporting operational improvement projects.
Experience producing management reports and analysing business data.
Experience within an e-commerce, retail or distribution environment.
Knowledge of compliance and document management processes.
