Job Summary

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment, supporting chefs and restaurant staff in food preparation and service. Your proactive approach will ensure that all kitchen operations are seamless, allowing culinary excellence to shine through. Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs during busy service times
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored according to health standards
Support the organization of ingredients and supplies to facilitate efficient food prep and cooking
Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold hygiene standards
Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations before and after service shifts
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Familiarity with basic food preparation, cleaning procedures, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
Experience working in hotels or culinary settings can be beneficial but is not mandatory
Strong understanding of hospitality principles related to serving guests and supporting kitchen operations is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
