Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Director to lead our procurement operations and drive excellence across our supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services essential to our business success. Your expertise will ensure seamless logistics, optimize supplier relationships, and implement innovative procurement strategies that support our growth objectives. Duties

Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals to maximize cost savings and operational efficiency
Lead negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to secure favorable terms and build strong, collaborative relationships
Oversee the management of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to streamline procurement processes and maintain accurate records
Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and minimize disruptions
Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry innovations to continuously improve procurement practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and logistics to align procurement initiatives with company objectives
Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing department

Experience

Proven experience in senior procurement or supply chain leadership roles, with a track record of managing large-scale purchasing operations
Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms used for procurement management
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms while maintaining positive supplier relationships
Deep understanding of logistics, transportation management, and end-to-end supply chain processes
Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions, supplier performance metrics, and cost analysis data
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in supply chain management is highly desirable
