What you'll bring to the team

Are you a night owl with a passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences? We're looking for a Hotel Night Receptionist to join our Hotel Operations team at Thorpe Shark Cabins.

As the face of our accommodation offering during the night shift, you'll play a vital role in ensuring guests receive a warm welcome, a smooth check-in and check-out experience, and exceptional service throughout their stay. You'll be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, supporting guests with queries, and helping deliver an outstanding overnight guest experience.

What you'll bring to the team :

A warm, friendly, and approachable manner.
A passion for providing exceptional guest service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence when interacting with guests and resolving queries.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and professionalism.
Integrity and responsibility when handling guest belongings and sensitive information.
Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and peak operating periods.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Basic IT skills and confidence using booking or reservation systems.
Ability to work overnight shifts on a rota basis.

Desirable

Previous experience in a hotel reception, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, or tourism environment.
Experience handling guest feedback and resolving customer concerns.
Knowledge of hotel check-in/check-out processes.
Cash-handling and retail experience.
