Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise and mechanical knowledge in a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality products.

Duties

Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to shape, cut, and assemble materials.
Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish.
Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated parts to meet industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Skills

Proven experience in MIG welding and general welding techniques.
Strong knowledge of welding standards and practices.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of fabrication processes.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Competence in working with sheet metal and assembling components using basic math skills for measurements.
Familiarity with assembly procedures and quality control standards.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about welding and fabrication, eager to develop their skills further within a professional environment that values safety, quality, and teamwork.

Pay: £12.75-£13.45 per hour
