Job Description

Your role: This is a dynamic interim opportunity to play a pivotal role in streamlining our financial operations and supporting a key transition of activities to offshore teams. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will oversee essential production finance processes while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless collaboration across our iconic media brands.

Day to day you will:

Support the Senior Finance Manager with transitioning specific accounting activities to offshore staff.
Calculate weekly and month-end results alongside variance reporting for Contract Print, Insertion, Packaging, Ink, Plates, and JV Costs.
Manage balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of queries and accurate submission of month-end processes.
Resolve supplier invoicing, credit note, and discrepancy queries in a swift and effective manner.
Partner with the Head of Magazine Publishing to ensure production costs are calculated accurately and purchase orders are raised appropriately.

What we're looking for from you:

Full accounting qualification (or equivalent professional experience) with a strong background in production finance or shared services environments.
Proven experience in balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis to drive accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve invoice and supplier discrepancies effectively.
Clear communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with senior stakeholders, supplier teams, and offshore colleagues during periods of operational change.
