Full job description

A rare opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Mortgage & Protection Adviser to join an ever-growing mortgage and protection practice based in Epping, servicing clients across London and the Home Counties.

This is a newly-defined role at the heart of the client journey. Working closely with our advisers and CRM system, you'll take ownership of a caseload from initial enquiry through to pre-submission, engaging with clients, keeping them informed and chasing the documents needed to get their application submission-ready — before handing a complete, well-organised case over to our processing team.

This role is offered on an employed, apprenticeship basis, with structured training, a clear route to industry qualifications, and genuine long-term progression within the firm for the right candidate.

The role

Take ownership of each case's pre-application journey once the adviser has made the initial contact with the client
Chase clients by phone and email for outstanding documents (ID, proof of income, bank statements and similar), keeping requests clear and easy to act on
Keep clients updated on progress and next steps throughout the pre-application stage
Log every contact, document received and case update accurately on our CRM system
Flag delays, missing information or client concerns to the adviser promptly
Hand over a complete, submission-ready case cleanly to the processing team once all documents have arrived
Support with general pre-application administration as the role develops

What we're looking for

A confident, friendly communicator who's comfortable on the phone and chasing people without being pushy
Someone organised, who can juggle a busy caseload and keep accurate records
Good attention to detail — this role is the difference between a smooth application and a delayed one
Comfortable with everyday IT and happy to learn a new CRM system
No mortgage experience necessary — full training is given. A genuine interest in financial services and a willingness to study is what matters most
