Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis Chef or Chef de Partie to join our tapas culinary team. This is a fast-pace kitchen where strong mutlitasking skills and working under pressure is essential, so please ensure you can live up to these requirements before applying. The role is essential in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining quality and presentation
Open and close the kitchen accurately at the start and end of service
Assist in meal preparation and portion control to minimise waste
Guide and monitor the Commis Chefs (if CDP) and Kitchen Assistents
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration
A genuine passion for cooking and creating delicious dishes
Experience in and/or a passion for Spanish cusine is preferable
