Full job description

E Park and Sons Limited are a leading packer and wholesaler of fresh potatoes to many blue chip retail customers and food processors.

An opportunity has arisen for a team player with a strong work ethic to join our Hygiene Team working in our potato packing factory in Epworth near Doncaster.

Job Overview:

To consistently maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in our potato intake and washing area.

Full time, permanent position

4 on 4 off shifts working 6am to 6pm

Pay Rate: Basic Rate £12.71 per hour

Overtime Rate: £15.88 per hour

Main duties to include:

· Emptying, cleaning and re-filling the potato washers

· Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the wet area

· Routine checks of the water treatment plant

· Use the power washer where appropriate.

Full training will be given to ensure that the successful candidates are able perform various duties ensuring food safety and health & safety standards are met

Qualifications and Experience

Previous relevant experience within a manufacturing environment – ideally in Food or FMCG.

The Candidate

This is a very 'hands on' role and as such candidates must be comfortable with the physical side of the job such as climbing ladders, bending to low level, carrying and using small tools and equipment.

The main requirement for applying is having an enthusiastic and committed attitude and a reliable and hardworking approach to the job

The ability to work unsupervised efficiently and effectively to consistently meet deadlines

Self-motivated with excellent time management, organisation and task prioritisation skills

To comply with Health & Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures at all times

The ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions

To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team

Willingness to learn new skills

To comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times
