Summary

The Governors of The Federation of Duke Street and Highfield Nursery Schools are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.

We work closely with families and the wider community to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with young children and would like to begin a rewarding career in education. The successful candidate will work towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification whilst gaining valuable practical experience within our outstanding nursery schools. This a fixed term, temporary contract, based on 30 hours per week. The nursery is open 7.30-5.30pm and so your hours will be within these hours.

Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, the apprentice will contribute to children's learning and development through a range of activities. Responsibilities will include supporting individual children and small groups, assisting with the set up of the environments and resources, promoting children's independence and wellbeing, supporting children with additional needs, and contributing to the wider life of the federation.

Throughout the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will receive high-quality training, mentoring and support, enabling them to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to become an effective Teaching Assistant within an early years setting.
