Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Bar Manager/Assistant Manager to lead our vibrant bar team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role combines leadership, operational oversight, and a passion for hospitality, creating an inviting atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and valued. As a key team member, you will oversee daily bar operations, manage staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and service excellence. Your enthusiasm and expertise will drive the success of our establishment, fostering a lively environment that encourages teamwork and memorable moments.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the bar team to deliver outstanding service while maintaining a positive and energetic work environment
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximize profitability
Train staff on proper serving techniques, cocktail preparation, food presentation, and hospitality best practices
Ensure all food production and kitchen activities meet quality standards and safety regulations
Assist in developing menus that highlight culinary creativity while catering to guest preferences
Handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols across the bar area and kitchen spaces

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants or bars with team management responsibilities
Experience in serving guests in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of food safety regulations and food production processes
Barista experience is a plus for creating specialty beverages with precision
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork, training, and motivating staff
Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
