Overview

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Assistant and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will support the efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management and logistics while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Duties

Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using manual techniques or mechanical equipment such as forklifts
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments, ensuring proper stacking and storage of goods
Use the warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order picking and packing processes
Prepare shipments by selecting products accurately, packing items securely, and labeling packages for delivery or transfer
Conduct quality control checks to verify product integrity, identify damages or discrepancies, and report issues promptly
Stock shelves systematically to ensure easy access and optimal organization of inventory
Support shipping & receiving activities by documenting inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for damages, and maintaining accurate records

Qualifications

Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting is preferred
Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures is essential
Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is highly desirable
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus
Strong attention to detail for quality control tasks and inventory accuracy
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
