Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role involves managing outstanding accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and experience with various accounting software. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment within a professional environment.

Duties

Monitor and manage the organisation’s accounts receivable, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding payments.
Contact clients via phone, email, or letter to follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment issues.
Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records of all transactions related to credit control activities.
Collaborate with the finance team to update client account information and resolve discrepancies.
Process payments received and allocate them correctly within the accounting system.
Prepare regular reports on debt collection progress and outstanding balances for management review.
Assist with month-end closing procedures related to credit control activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable roles.
Proficiency in accounting software such as , Sage is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable and receivable processes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication skills, capable of liaising professionally with clients and internal teams.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.
