Job Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. Your primary responsibility will be to support residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting their independence. This position requires effective communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow care plans meticulously.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional needs.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life.
Follow individual care plans diligently to meet the specific needs of each resident.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
Drive to various locations if required for home care assignments or community activities.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and team members.
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
A valid driving licence may be required for positions involving travel between homes or community visits.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and supporting individuals in need is crucial.
