Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, with proven leadership and team management skills. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of food safety, customer service, and operational efficiency. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all departments, fostering a positive work environment, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of restaurant or hotel operations, including food production, service, and hospitality standards.
Lead and supervise staff across various departments, including kitchen, serving staff, and front-of-house teams.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to optimise profitability.
Develop staff schedules, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate ongoing training programmes such as food safety and culinary skills.
Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers whilst maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients.
Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to uphold service quality.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment.
Uphold health & safety policies across the premises to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse staff members effectively.
Experience in food safety standards, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
Previous experience in restaurant or hotel management is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and customer service excellence.
Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or culinary arts are advantageous but not essential.
