Housekeeping Assistant
Location: Cottenham Court Care Home. High Street, Cottenham, Cambridge, CB24 8SS
Contract: Permanent - Full Time
Hours: 30 hours per week - 8am to 2pm 5 days per week, including alternate weekends
Salary: £13.30 - £14.30 per hour depending on experience

Situated in the picturesque village of Cottenham, the home's design has been tailored to the challenges of care and provides residents with a versatile living environment. Pleasing additions include en-suite bedrooms, an activities room, a conservatory and Sky television. For a breath of fresh air, residents can head for the enclosed paved garden for a gentle stroll, or experience the home's sensory herb garden.
A varied menu of nutritious meals is enjoyed by all residents, with the home treating mealtimes as an important part of the day and making sure there are always drinks and light snacks available.
There is a real sense of community at Cottenham Court. Gardening, exercise classes and crafts are examples of some of the hobbies residents have embraced, while visits from a local theatre group and Pets as Therapy also provide good mental and physical stimulation.

You'll help us make health happen by:
- You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff

Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident's bedrooms

You'll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you'll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
