Full job description

Foyle Food Group is seeking General Operatives to join the Loading Bay and Slaughter Hall team at our Melton Mowbray site. This is a fast-paced beef processing facility and an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK and Ireland’s most progressive meat processing companies.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all dispatched products meet required quality standards
Maintain accurate goods-in records in line with company procedures
Check and verify weights and measures compliance, including completion of required documentation
Process orders in the correct sequence to meet deadlines
Contribute to achieving team and individual KPIs

Essential Requirements

Own transport is essential (no public transport links available)
Ability to carry out quality checks, including beef specification requirements
Previous experience in a red meat / slaughter / production environment is preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexible approach to working hours
Ability to work in a physically demanding and cold environment
Excellent timekeeping and attendance
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and adapt to business needs

Working Hours & Pay

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Starting at 7:30am
Pay rate: £13.71 per hour + overtime
Opportunity to earn additional bonuses after successful completion of probation
