Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients across a variety of settings, including clinics, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your clinical expertise and contribute to improving patient outcomes through personalised treatment plans and preventative care. The position is paid and involves working within a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Duties

Conduct thorough medical examinations and assess patient health status
Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses
Prescribe medications and administer treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
Provide specialised care in areas such as senior care, hospice, or home care as required
Collaborate with specialists in fields such as medical imaging, ICU, or public health for comprehensive patient management
Engage in clinical research initiatives to support evidence-based practice
Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
Supervise nursing staff and coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts to optimise patient care
Stay updated with advancements in medical sciences, anatomy knowledge, and healthcare protocols

Requirements

Fully qualified Medical Degree recognised within the UK or equivalent qualification
Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a valid licence to practise
Proven experience in general practice, with additional experience in ICU, nursing home, or senior care highly desirable
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and medication administration procedures
Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and clinical research methodologies
Experience delivering public health initiatives or hospice care is advantageous
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient groups
Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a healthcare team
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards
