Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Dispenser, where your expertise will directly impact patient well-being and medication safety. In this vital role, you will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent patient care. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a seamless pharmacy experience that promotes health and confidence for every patient you serve.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following all safety protocols and legal requirements
Verify prescription details, including dosage, medication type, and patient information to prevent errors
Assist in medication inventory management by stock checking, ordering supplies, and organizing storage areas
Provide exceptional patient care by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance on proper usage
Support medication administration processes when required, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans
Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications, inventory logs, and patient interactions in compliance with privacy regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery to patients

Skills

Proven pharmacy dispenser experience with a strong understanding of dispensing procedures and pharmacy operations
Knowledge of medication administration techniques and safety standards
Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise dispensing and recordkeeping
Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork within the pharmacy setting
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care with a focus on safety and confidentiality

We are looking to recruit a dispenser to join our team. Candidate would preferably be qualified and have some pharmacy experience, however training may be provided to the right applicant.

Hours would be Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30 with 1 hour lunch break

Rate of pay will be dependent on experience.

Pay: £13.35 per hour

Work Location: In person
