Full job description

At Godfrey Care, our Commissioning Relationship Partners don't just promote services — they build relationships, create opportunities, and help ensure the right people find the right support.

We're looking for a proactive, resilient, and values-driven Commissioning Relationship Partner to strengthen our relationships with commissioners and referral partners, support occupancy across our Residential and Supported Living services, and identify new opportunities for growth.

This is a developing role with real scope to make an impact, working closely with operational teams, commissioners, referral partners, and internal colleagues.

About the role

You'll act as an important link between commissioners, referral partners, operational teams, and internal support functions.

You'll build relationships with local authority and NHS commissioners, brokerage teams, placement teams, social workers, discharge teams, and other referral partners. You'll promote vacancies, generate appropriate referral opportunities, and support services to maintain strong occupancy while ensuring placements remain suitable, sustainable, and person-centred.

You'll also have the opportunity to think creatively about how we engage with commissioners and referral partners, particularly where traditional referral routes may not be enough.

Your role

You'll work closely with the Head of Business Development and operational leaders to:

Build and maintain strong commissioner and referral partner relationships
Generate appropriate referral opportunities through proactive engagement and networking
Promote current vacancies and upcoming availability through targeted communications
Support Registered Managers and operational teams with occupancy and void action plans
Attend provider forums, market engagement sessions, and networking events
Develop clear and engaging vacancy, service, and referral communications
Support placement risk discussions and ensure referrals are appropriate and sustainable
Maintain accurate CRM and referral records and monitor key occupancy and referral activity
Use data and feedback to identify opportunities and improve referral processes
Bring innovative ideas to commissioner engagement, vacancy promotion, and business development

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is confident building relationships, comfortable working across different teams, and motivated by creating opportunities that lead to positive outcomes.

You'll bring:

Experience in business development, referrals, admissions, stakeholder engagement, account management, or a similar role
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
An understanding of supporting people with learning disabilities within residential and supported living services
Knowledge of complex care, including placement breakdown and hospital discharge
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Resilience and determination when overcoming barriers and following up opportunities
Confidence using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and referral tracking tools
Commercial awareness and an understanding of occupancy and void management
A collaborative, inclusive, and innovative approach to partnership working

Experience working with local authority or NHS commissioners, brokerage teams, or adult social care referrals would be advantageous.
