Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Xero Trained Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of accounting software, particularly Xero, and have experience managing financial records with precision. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a local growing accountancy practice. The position is perfect for someone looking to utilise their bookkeeping skills in a professional environment while working part-time hours.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date.
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management.
Preparation of Quarterly VAT returns for a number of clients
Submission of Quarterly Making Tax Digital (MTD) reports

Experience

Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with a focus on small to medium-sized organisations.
Demonstrable proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential; familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting platforms is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
Prior experience in preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts is desirable.
