Contract type: Permanent. Hybrid

Reports to: AR & Banking Team Lead

Band 6

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Banking & AR Executive to work in our AR & Banking Team. This team will be a fully integrated part of the wider finance organisation which supports 3 trading brands

The Banking & AR Executive is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of our banking transactions within our Financial Ledgers and supporting the AR & Banking Lead on customer refunds, bank transfers, balance collections and other tasks.

The scope is subject to change as businesses continue to review and evolve their business models.

The role will report into the AR & Banking Lead of the Accounts Receivable & Banking Team and will work closely with our finance functions in UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

· Performing daily bank reprocessing activities in the accounting system

· Working with the team to reconcile bank transactions to the accounting system and reservation system

· Supporting the Cash Forecasting process by analysing & categorising all bank transactions

· Processing customer receipts and refunds allocating them in the reservation system

· Supporting month end activities including processing journal entries and preparing key reconciliations

· Support the AR & Bank Team Lead with collecting balances from Trade Partners

· Support the AR & Bank Team Lead with payments from Direct customers who call the payments line

· Manage set up business partners in SAP

· Support the management & accounting of staff corporate cards

· Working closely with the AR & Banking Lead to support on day-to-day activities

· AR & Banking Team Lead

· Senior Finance Business Partner

· Wider Finance team

What we are looking for:

· Understanding of role of Banking & Accounts Receivable within a wider Finance function, preferably with experience of working in such a team

· Understanding of double entry and why a journal is being posted not just follow the process without full understanding

· Ability to produce reconciliations and identify issues that need resolving

· Experience with SAP a distinct benefit

· Proficient in MS Office apps, with particular focus in Outlook and Excel

· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is essential

· Highly organised and thorough in approach and demonstrates ability to prioritise own work and maintain focus

· Takes initiative. Does not wait to be asked or told what needs doing.

· Highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty, and strong work ethic.

· Sharp, thorough, and thoughtful, able to work independently and to deadlines

· Good IT skills in particular Excel
