Are you an experienced project manager with knowledge of property and asset disposal?

Do you enjoy delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities?

Are you motivated by working on programmes that directly support council services and communities?

We are recruiting two Asset Disposal Project Managers to join our new Asset Disposals team within Strategic Property. You will support delivery of a major disposals programme that contributes to the council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy and wider corporate priorities. This is a 2-year fixed term contract.

About the role

What you’ll be doing

Manage a portfolio of asset disposal projects, supporting delivery of capital receipts and savings

Project manage disposal transactions from identification through to completion

Work closely with surveyors, consultants and internal services to progress sites to market

Support governance processes, preparing reports and coordinating approvals

Monitor project progress, risks, budgets and timelines to ensure successful delivery

Build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including external partners, tenants and council teams

Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and programme delivery

What we’re looking for

Experience in project management, ideally within property, regeneration or asset management

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Experience of working with stakeholders across organisations to deliver outcomes

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate options and recommend solutions

Good communication and influencing skills

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
