About Us

For over 35 years, Townfield & Coach House Care Ltd has been a dedicated, family-run pillar of the Lancashire care community. We know that exceptional care starts with exceptional staff. That is why we are looking for an engaging, enthusiastic In-House Trainer to welcome, inspire, and thoroughly induct our new team members as they begin their journey with us.

The Role

This is a vital, highly flexible part-time role normally working 1 day/8 hours per week. Your primary focus will be delivering a comprehensive, high-quality induction and course renewal program that equips new staff with the practical skills, compliance knowledge, and person-centered values needed to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Staff Inductions: Deliver our core induction curriculum to new starters, ensuring they understand Townfield's policies, culture, and high standards of care.
Core Skills Training: Teach or coordinate essential care training elements (e.g., The Care Certificate standards, moving and handling, medication, safeguarding, infection control, and dementia awareness).
Assess Competency: Observe and sign off on basic practical skills, ensuring all new hires are safe and confident before they start work.
Maintain Compliance: Keep meticulous training records and coordinate with management to ensure all mandatory induction paperwork is fully compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
Be a Cultivator of Culture: Serve as the first official face of Townfield, instilling our family values of empathy, warmth, and respect from day one.

About You

You are someone who genuinely loves developing people. You might be an experienced care manager looking to step back from full-time hours, or an established trainer looking for a rewarding, predictable micro-shift.

Requirements:

Care Sector Experience: A strong background in adult social care (residential or home care), with a deep understanding of CQC regulations and best practices.
Training Credentials: An award/certificate in Education and Training (AET/PTLLS), a Level 3/4 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent verifiable training experience.
Great Communicator: Patient, encouraging, and clear. You know how to make compliance learning engaging and accessible.
Highly Organized: Able to manage your own 8-hour weekly schedule effectively to match our recruitment onboarding waves.
