About Us
Binder Limited is a thriving business with a strong presence in East Anglia, supporting over 11,000 wastewater systems with bespoke service agreements.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our stores department. The role involves handling deliveries, stock control, and ensuring an organised, clean, and safe stores environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering and procurement teams to support service and installation activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, handle, and issue stock efficiently and accurately to support internal teams and customer needs.
Assist with unloading deliveries using manual handling or forklift (if trained), checking items for damage and storing appropriately.
Book stock in and out of internal systems (e.g., Exact & BMS Binder Mobile System) with accuracy and attention to detail.
Pick and allocate parts for scheduled works, quoted jobs, and engineer van stock.
Monitor and report low stock levels to the Procurement Manager.
Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment, following daily housekeeping and safety protocols.
Prepare and issue personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring correct usage and record-keeping.
Carry out light assembly and fabrication tasks such as preparing inlets for pump stations.
Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or stock control environment is preferred.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling (up to 25kg); training will be provided.
Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
Forklift licence is desirable but not essential – training can be provided.
Basic IT skills and confidence in using stock management systems.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A flexible and proactive approach to work.
