Location: Little Leaf Nursery, West Drayton

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £12.71 - £12.72 depending on experience

Hours: between 25 to 35 hours per week

About Us: At Little Leaf Nursery, we are committed to providing a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can grow, learn, and thrive. We follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and are dedicated to supporting children’s learning and development through play, exploration, and care.

About the Role: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and dedicated team. The successful candidate will plan, implement and evaluate high-quality early years experiences in line with the EYFS, while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in their care.

Key Responsibilities: Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years. Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS. Observe, assess, and record each child’s development and learning journey. Work in partnership with parents and carers to support each child’s individual needs. Ensure safeguarding, health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained. Follow all nursery policies and procedures, including equal opportunities and confidentiality. Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous professional development. Support colleagues and contribute positively to the nursery team.

Must Have Essential Qualifications for the above Role:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (e.g. NCFE/CACHE Level 3 Diploma, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)

Good knowledge of the EYFS framework.

Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning and development.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Reliable, motivated, and passionate about working with young children.

Please note: Applicants must hold a full Level 3 childcare qualification recognised by Ofsted. Candidates without this qualification will not be shortlisted.

Desirable:

Paediatric First Aid certificate.

Food Hygiene and/or Safeguarding training (can be updated in-house if required).

Previous experience working in a nursery or preschool setting.
