Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cover Cleaner to join our cleaning team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all designated areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your proactive approach and commitment to quality will help create a safe, welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cleanliness and a strong work ethic to contribute to a well-organized and efficient facility.

A cover cleaner will cover staff sicknesses or annual leaves , as and when required , working Wednesday 17.00pm to 19.00pm and Friday 17.00pm to 19.00pm to cover shifts when required only .

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces, following established procedures.
Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively to achieve optimal results.
Maintain cleanliness standards by regularly inspecting assigned spaces and addressing any issues promptly.
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability.
Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Support team members during busy periods or special cleaning projects as needed.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, demonstrating reliability and attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the shift.
Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and supervisors.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that require standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment for extended periods.
