Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, from residential homes to commercial properties, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. The ability to communicate effectively in English is essential for understanding project requirements and collaborating with clients and team members.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Select appropriate materials and colours based on client preferences and project specifications.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, maintaining attention to detail throughout the process.
Communicate with clients to understand their vision and provide updates on progress.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and efficient work practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in painting and decorating is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients and team members.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials is desirable.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in approach.
