Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our student accommodation and AirBnB properties are kept in tip-top condition. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our properties in the local area.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
Troubleshoot faults
Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs where necessary.
Programme and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all maintenance operations
Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to operational issues affecting production

Requirements

Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems
Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, and component replacement
Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair and preventative maintenance
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance challenges. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical expertise in a fast-paced industrial environment
