Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our dessert shop team as Store Assistants, Kitchen Staff, or Team Members. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant environment, preparing and serving delicious desserts while delivering excellent customer service. The position is suitable for those passionate about food, catering, and culinary arts, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Successful candidates will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and assist in the smooth operation of the shop.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of desserts and sweet treats in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
Assist in the daily setup and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring cleanliness and safety compliance
Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or seating area
Maintain stock levels by replenishing ingredients and supplies as needed
Follow food safety regulations at all times, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients
Support catering events or special orders when required
Clean work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly to uphold hygiene standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shop operations during busy periods

Skills

Experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of meal preparation and food safety practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for serving customers and working within a team
Basic culinary experience or food preparation skills preferred
Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is advantageous but not essential
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and procedures
