Your Role :
a) To ensure the proactive management of all aspects of Direct Payment Accounts across our contracts in the Leicester area
b) To validate and pprove timesheets and invoices for payements in line with fixed budgets
C) To ensure the accuracy of data and completion of declaration is in line with Pension Regulatory compliance for Direct Payment Employers
This is a full time role at 37.5 hours per week, working on a remote basis from home with occasional attendance to an office in the Leicestershire area for face to face meetings.
Your Responsibilities
a) Manage Direct Payment accounts, ensuring receipt and chasing of client contributions and council funds, to ensure sufficient funds to make payments.
b) Liaise with Finance and local authority to act immediately in assisting the setup of accounts and receipt of client funds.
c) Accurately upload and approve invoices and timesheets for payment, ensuring quality checks are made to identify and resolve discrepancies.
d) Ensure the efficient, timely and effective processing of payroll and invoices for DP Holders and their PA’s.
e) Ensure payment journals are accurate and uploaded to X-Ledger.
f) Maintain accurate and up to date customer details and records for all DP Holders on CRM, payroll, and accounting systems.
g) Ensure responsibilities are met regarding pension scheme setup and auto enrolment, along with employee and employer payments.
h) Monthly reconciliation of all accounts and provide data for KPI’s to be reported to commissioners.
i) To work with EAG colleagues to manage customer relationships and address day to day issues and enquiries, including the management of ceased accounts, in line with DP Holder preferred communication methods.
j) Recognise where customers may be vulnerable to financial or other abuse and take appropriate action to alert others to ensure they are appropriately safeguarded.

Person Specification:
Essential
- Ability to travel in the Leicester area (occasional)
- Previous payroll experience
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service through a range of mediums including face to face, telephone and email.
- Able to use initiative to assist with problem solving and to escalate promptly where required.
- An eye for detail and a ‘get it right first time’ attitude
- Excellent numeracy, written and oral skills
- Excellent administrative skills, able to organise a wide range of information.
- Able to self-organise workload to meet fixed deadlines.
- IT literate with experience of Microsoft applications and familiarity with finance and payroll software packages
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a fast-moving payroll environment and/or assisted with direct responsibility for client accounts.
- Experience of working on pension administration and/or with knowledge of pension regulatory compliance
