Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging swimming lessons to a diverse range of participants, ensuring their safety and fostering a love for swimming. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your sports coaching experience and teaching skills in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting water safety and skill development. All positions are paid, including internships, and are ideal for individuals passionate about swimming and education.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to strict water safety protocols
Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help swimmers improve their technique and confidence
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of each participant’s development
Create a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment
Respond promptly to any emergencies or safety concerns during lessons
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the pool area and associated facilities

Experience

Prior sports coaching experience is highly desirable, with a focus on swimming or water-based activities
Proven teaching ability, with excellent communication skills tailored to diverse age groups
Certification in lifeguarding or water safety is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Passionate about promoting water safety, fitness, and well-being through engaging instruction
Ability to motivate participants and foster a supportive learning environment
