Want to spend time with your family?

We can offer morning / day time shifts and you finish work at 3.30pm daily. So you would be home for 4pm after each shift.

We are Crema, a very busy medium size cafe in the heart of Lisburn, a 55 seater serving high quality breakfast, brunch and lunch menu.

We can offer a 5 day working week & 40+ hours per week.

A typical shift would be 7-3.30pm or 8-3.30pm.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Chef will play a vital role in creating innovative menus and fostering a positive team environment in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, taste, and presentation meet customer expectations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients to minimise waste
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
Collaborate with management on menu development, special events, and seasonal offerings
Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed within the kitchen environment
Serve dishes to guests when required, providing excellent customer service

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong skills in food production, preparation, cooking, and presentation
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and staff development
Experience in menu planning, food costing, and inventory control is desirable
A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding guest experiences
Relevant qualifications or certifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are advantageous
