Welder

Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland
Reporting to: Production Manager

ASSA ABLOY Door Group is a global leader in entrance solutions, dedicated to providing innovative, safe, and sustainable products for customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our manufacturing team in Lisburn.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work and responsibility for manufacturing and assembling door components to a high standard of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out MIG welding of steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and production specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Assemble and fabricate metal components to required tolerances.
Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality and product compliance.
Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5S and housekeeping standards.
Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, team leaders, and other departments to meet production targets.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Previous experience in a welding or fabrication role.
Proven MIG welding skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexible, positive approach to work.

Desirable

Relevant welding qualifications or certifications.
Experience within the door, construction, or metal fabrication industry.
