As a People & Culture Officer at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, we expect from you:

Supporting managers and colleagues with employee relations matters, including performance management, probation reviews, investigations, and wellbeing conversations, helping to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Deliver a seamless colleague journey by managing People & Culture administration across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and promotions to benefits, payroll changes, compliance, and employee records, ensuring every detail reflects our luxury standards.
Attract and welcome exceptional talent by supporting recruitment activities, sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, managing onboarding, and ensuring every candidate receives a memorable and professional experience from first contact to first day.
Champion colleague engagement and recognition by helping to organise employee events, celebrations, awards, communications, and wellbeing initiatives that bring our culture to life and strengthen colleague connections across the hotel.
Ensure compliance and operational excellence by maintaining HR systems and records, managing right-to-work checks and DBS processes, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring all People & Culture practices meet legal and company standards

To be a successful People & Culture Officer candidate, you will/must have:

Previous experience in a People & Culture role, ideally within hospitality or a customer-focused environment.
A passion for people, with the ability to build positive relationships and provide exceptional support to colleagues and managers.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally and discreetly.
Proficiency in HRIS and ATS systems, preferably Workday and ADP, combined with a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
