Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced E-Commerce Manager to lead our online sales and digital marketing efforts. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our e-commerce platform, implementing effective marketing strategies, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will own the day-to-day performance of the Numeris e-commerce store, ensuring the website is commercially optimised, campaigns are executed flawlessly, continually improve the customer journey and turn insights into actions that increase revenue.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the marketing team, creative team and directors, and be responsible for maximising website conversion, supporting growth and ensuring the online store operates at the highest standard.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong Shopify experience, commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate multiple campaigns, markets and website updates in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Website Management and Merchandising

Own the day-to-day management of the Shopify store.
Upload and maintain products, collections, pricing and product information.
Build and update campaign landing pages.
Create and manage market-specific pages for international customers.
Coordinate and maintain website translations across different markets.
Merchandise homepage content, collections and product listings.
Ensure products are presented accurately and consistently across the website.
Manage website updates for promotions, product launches and seasonal campaigns.
Coordinate website changes around campaign launches, early-access periods and site locks.
Complete full website quality assurance checks before campaigns and product launches.
Identify and resolve website issues quickly, working with developers and external partners where required.

Ecommerce Performance

Monitor daily, weekly and monthly ecommerce performance.
Produce regular trading reports covering key metrics, including:
Revenue
Conversion rate
Average order value
Revenue per visitor
Website sessions
Bounce rate
Market and country performance
Analyse performance by traffic source, device, product, collection and international market.
Identify trading trends, underperforming areas and commercial opportunities.
Recommend actions to improve website revenue, conversion and customer experience.
Monitor the performance of new products, campaigns and promotional activity.

Customer Behaviour and Conversion Rate Optimisation

Use Microsoft Clarity, Shopify analytics and other reporting tools to understand customer behaviour.
Review customer recordings, heatmaps and conversion funnels.
Identify customer friction points across landing pages, product pages, cart and checkout.
Monitor checkout performance and investigate potential causes of customer drop-off.
Develop and prioritise conversion rate optimisation initiatives.
Identify opportunities for A/B testing across website content, navigation, merchandising and checkout.
Work closely with designers and developers to implement website improvements.
Measure the impact of website changes and report on results.

SEO and Organic Growth

Manage and monitor Google Search Console.
Identify website indexing, crawling and technical SEO issues.
Work with developers to resolve technical SEO problems.
Optimise product pages, collection pages, page titles, meta descriptions and on-site content.
Monitor organic search performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Work alongside the content and marketing teams to improve organic visibility.
Ensure new products, collections and landing pages follow SEO best practices.

Email Marketing and Customer Retention

Build, test and schedule email marketing campaigns through Klaviyo.
Maintain and optimise automated Klaviyo flows.
Create and manage customer segments based on behaviour, location and purchase history.
Analyse email performance, including revenue, open rates, click-through rates and conversion.
Identify opportunities to improve customer retention, repeat purchase rate and customer lifetime value.
Work with the creative and marketing teams to organise campaign assets and messaging.
Ensure email campaigns are coordinated with website activity, paid media and promotional calendars.

Campaign and Launch Coordination

Prepare the website for product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
Coordinate campaign timings with paid media, organic social, email and creative teams.
Organise and manage creative assets for the homepage, landing pages, collections and product pages.
Ensure all website and email campaign elements are completed, tested and approved before launch.
Manage the ecommerce promotional calendar.
Ensure campaigns launch accurately and on time across all relevant international markets.
Monitor campaign performance and make live adjustments where necessary.

Reporting and Commercial Insights

Produce clear weekly and monthly ecommerce trading reports.
Analyse performance across the UK, Europe, the United States and other international markets.
Monitor international growth and identify market-specific opportunities.
Present clear, actionable insights to the wider management team.
Report website issues, customer experience problems and commercial opportunities.
Track agreed actions and measure the impact of improvements.
Support ecommerce forecasting and trading decisions using accurate performance data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing, creative, operations, customer service and finance teams.
Brief designers and developers on website requirements.
Coordinate with paid media teams to ensure landing pages and promotions support advertising activity.
Communicate campaign requirements, deadlines and performance updates clearly.
Manage external ecommerce partners, developers and technology providers where required.

Additional Information

Salary starting from £35,000 per annum depending on experience
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
This is an in person role Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, out of hours work may be required depending on product launches and demand during peak seasons
This role is for somebody looknig to be employed, we are not looking for freelancers or candidates wishing to work from home
