About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CDD Manager to lead our Client Due Diligence (CDD) team and oversee the delivery of high-quality AML compliance services to our law firm clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical AML knowledge, particularly in managing complex Client Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Source of Funds (SOF), and Source of Wealth (SOW) matters.

As CDD Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of the CDD team, providing guidance and technical support on complex cases, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, support and manage the CDD team, ensuring workloads are effectively allocated and deadlines are met.
Act as the escalation point for complex CDD, EDD, SOF and SOW matters.
Review and approve high-risk client due diligence files, ensuring compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations and legal sector guidance.
Provide technical advice, coaching and mentoring to CDD Officers to support their development.
Monitor quality standards, identify training needs and implement continuous improvements.
Liaise with law firm clients to obtain additional information and resolve complex AML queries.
Assist in developing and maintaining CDD procedures, templates and best practice guidance.
Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed service levels.
Produce management information and report on team performance, quality and compliance trends.
Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management of CDD team members where required.

About You

You will have:

Significant experience within AML, Client Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence.
Strong knowledge of Source of Funds and Source of Wealth requirements.
Previous experience managing or supervising a compliance or CDD team.
Excellent understanding of the Money Laundering Regulations and AML guidance applicable to law firms.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with confidence handling complex or high-risk matters.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workloads and support others to achieve high standards.

Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
