Full job description

JOB TITLE: Heritage Warden

LOCATION: London, WC2N

PAY RATE: £15.16 per hour

THE ROLE:

This role requires a dedicated Security professional to undertake a range of duties to protect the fabric of the squares and prevent malicious damage to them. This role also requires a readiness for a variety of shifts.

The security operation provided by the teams operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It requires Security Officers of a high calibre who are adaptable, proactive and motivated to deliver the highest standard of service.

Responsibilities:

Provide security presence
Upholding the byelaws and the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
Uphold codes of practice and policies in place.
Facilitate good management of the spaces and help visitors to the Squares.
Assist the public and help anyone in difficulties.
Cover multiple areas of the site, search area, loading bay, external patrols etc.
Manage incidents and emergencies.
Facilitate the delivery of a range of events including filming, photo shoots, rallies, demonstrations and cultural events.
Protect the fabric of the squares and prevent malicious damage to them.

Skills/Experience:

Possess demonstratable experience in an enforcement role, have in-depth knowledge of ‘Incident, accident and damage’ reporting.
You must be capable of dealing with a variety of situations and be very customer service focused.
You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, attaining an adept level of verbal and written English.
Computer literate, with the ability to compose and reply effectively to multiple forms of written correspondence.
Management of external contractors, invited associates and key client liaison.
You must have good organisational and record-keeping skills, be well-presented at all times.
You must be physically fit as this is a demanding role as most of your duties will take place outdoors.
Previous experience in a security/facilities/retail environment desired.

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You must be able to provide a check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits).

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
