Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of quality goods and services that meet our operational needs. Your expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and ERP systems will be instrumental in optimizing procurement workflows, reducing costs, and fostering strong supplier relationships. Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes to establish reliable partnerships that deliver quality and value.
Oversee purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation within ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, inventory management, and production to forecast needs and coordinate timely deliveries.
Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, supplier capabilities, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement activities.
Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing department.

Experience

Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS is essential for managing procurement workflows effectively.
In-depth understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and inventory management best practices.
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.
Ability to analyze data, interpret market trends, and make strategic purchasing decisions that benefit the organization.
Prior experience leading a team and coordinating cross-departmental projects is highly desirable.
