Job Description

Are you interested in starting a career in construction materials testing? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Trainee Field Technician, supporting SOCOTEC’s continued success while developing valuable technical skills.

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll support site and laboratory testing activities while learning industry standards and best practice under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

Sampling and testing of construction materials on site and in the laboratory
Completing test sheets, including calculations
Supporting report production in line with QA systems

Qualifications

To be a successful Trainee Field Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:

No previous experience required as full training given
Strong communication skills and a health & safety focused approach
Full UK driving licence
CSCS card desirable but we can facilitate this for you
