Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in management. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team effectively, optimise processes, and contribute to the overall success of our retail or sales environment. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to facilitate communication across diverse teams and customer bases. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining organisational efficiency.

Duties

Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, motivation, and support to achieve departmental goals
Organise and delegate daily tasks to ensure smooth operational flow
Monitor team performance through regular feedback and coaching sessions
Oversee merchandising activities to ensure visual standards are maintained
Manage sales targets and implement strategies to maximise revenue
Handle customer queries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Maintain accurate administrative records related to staff schedules, sales figures, and inventory levels
Conduct training sessions for new staff members and organise ongoing professional development opportunities
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery

Requirements

Proven experience in management or supervisory roles, preferably within retail or sales environments
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Demonstrated experience in merchandising, sales management, or retail management
Good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Administrative experience including record keeping, reporting, and scheduling
Professional phone etiquette and organisational skills essential for customer interactions and team coordination
Supervising experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
