We are currently looking for a Cook/Kitchen Assistant at Warmley House Care Home in Warmley.

Juniper Court Care is a group of nine nursing homes in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We provide top quality, best value, holistic care to our residents, and are an established company with a good reputation for the care we provide. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will receive following benefits:

Responsibilities and duties for the Kitchen Assistant role are:

To be on duty as required by the duty rota
To comply with policies and procedures
To ensure that all kitchen tasks are done to the required standard
Kitchen to be left clean and tidy at all times
Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are met when using kitchen equipment.
Keep clean all work surfaces in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination.
Complete any cleaning tasks that are on the cleaning rota.
At the end of the shift ensure that all the rubbish is taken out

Responsibilities and duties for the Chef role are:

To prepare appetising and nutritious food for the residents daily
To prepare a menu in conjunction with the residents’ likes and dislikes; this must rotate on a four-week basis
To ensure that the kitchen is hygienically clean
To ensure all food orders are requested with ample time while working under an agreed budget
To meet diverse dietary requirements as necessary.

Hours:

8.00am to 5pm Kitchen Assistant (25.5hrs Per Week)
8.00am to 5.30pm Chef (18hrs per Week)
Total Contracted Hours 43.5 Hours per Week
Weekend working

Pay:

£12.71 Kitchen Assistant
£14.75 Chef

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
